Biomechanics and performance analysis are a broad term that encompasses multiple disciplines which are primarily centered on biomechanics, rotational analysis and the use of technology to measure human movement. Primarily, it is the study of the structure, function and motion of the mechanical aspects of any biological system.
In other words, is the science of MOVEMENT of a living body, including how muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments work together to produce movement.
Our body uses biomechanics on a daily basis without we even noticing it. For example; the unique way each person walks. Over time the body mechanics naturally gets used to a certain way of walking. Most of these times, it is NOT the proper biomechanical way. In the long term, this will affect your body in terms of flexibility and pain. The body needs to be consciously moved biomechanically correct on a daily basis for our bodies to become more efficient in daily activities and/or sports.
